A new, closer pivot point follows the natural arc of the finger, while the 5-degree upturned lever and tuned grip width favor a natural position for confidently tackling technical trail sections. The upgrade kit includes two additional pairs of brake pads and 100 ml of mineral oil.

With ultimate stopping power, consistency and control, the 4-piston M8220 hydraulic caliper is the most powerful caliper in the Shimano XT M8200 family. New low-viscosity oil keeps the pad contact point of the M8220 brakes constant in all trail and weather conditions, and new brake pads eliminate rattling noises caused by vibrations.
