While the special Dynamic Chain Engagement+ tooth design is responsible for the improved chain guidance, it is the HollowTech II manufacturing technique that makes it possible to reduce the weight of the crank arms. At the same time, the hollow forging process increases rigidity, which results in a more efficient power transmission.
