Maurten Addition is a palate reset. It is designed to give athletes the option of adding a different taste to Drink Mix 320 or 160. Repeated consumption of carbohydrate fuels — even those with a neutral flavor profile — can lead to a state of flavor fatigue. Symptoms can include a lack of motivation to maintain a planned fueling protocol, sickly or nauseous sensation, and a desensitized sense of taste.
