We often hear advertisements promoting "high modulus carbon fiber" everywhere, but in reality, it is not suitable for seatposts because it makes them overly stiff and less comfortable than expected. By appropriately using high-strength carbon fiber instead of high-modulus carbon fiber, we can maintain strength while also optimizing comfort. Additionally, 3D-printed titanium alloy components can achieve shapes that CNC machining cannot, thereby reducing weight without compromising strength.
The testing results show that the offset design does affect the comfort.
A bigger offset design offers better comfort in the seatpost. In most daily riding conditions, the actual tube deformation is less than the testing data.
