Race Day Combatant — SEKA's ultimate expression of the ExAero.

The ExAero RDC — Race Day Combatant — is SEKA's most uncompromising aero road race frameset. Built around the same complete-system aerodynamic philosophy as the ExAero, the RDC pushes the balance of aerodynamics, weight and stiffness further for riders who want a genuinely race-focused platform.

Rather than treating the frame as an isolated aerodynamic object, SEKA developed the ExAero as an integrated system encompassing the frame, fork, cockpit and optional MAG aero bottle system. Extensive CFD and wind-tunnel testing, carried out in collaboration with Aerocoach, was used to optimise airflow around the complete bike.

The result is an aero race bike that remains remarkably light. The RDC frame weighs just 820g unpainted in size 54, making it an exceptionally low-weight platform for a dedicated aero frame.

Compared with the SEKA Spear, the complete ExAero system reduces weighted CdA by 0.00314 m², equivalent to approximately 3.68 watts at 45 km/h when configured with the standard Gladius cockpit and dual MAG bottles.

The RDC also increases stiffness where it matters. Front-end stiffness is up 21.2%, rear-end stiffness 7.6%, with overall torsional stiffness increasing by 13.4% compared with the Spear. The result is a frame designed to respond immediately when the road turns upward, the pace increases or the sprint begins.

At the centre of the frame is SEKA's distinctive Wind Eye architecture. The seat tube and seatpost junction is designed to allow controlled vertical movement, with up to 16mm of seatpost deflection, helping to reduce road vibration without compromising the lateral stiffness needed for efficient power transfer.

SEKA's True-One-Piece Molding Technology creates the frame as a single structure, while M46J high-modulus carbon and T1100 carbon are strategically used in high-stress areas to balance weight, stiffness and durability.

Up front, the integrated Gladius one-piece cockpit completes the aerodynamic package. The Standard cockpit provides the lowest, most aerodynamic position, while the ALTA +25mm version raises stack by 25mm without altering reach, giving riders additional fit flexibility without compromising the integrated front-end design.

For the final aerodynamic gains, the optional ExAero MAG bottle system integrates directly into the airflow of the frame. SEKA claims a further 0.0047 m² reduction in weighted CdA compared with two conventional round bottles.

The ExAero RDC is the choice for riders who don't want to choose between aero performance and low weight.
