Brilliantly ventilated with more generous internal channelling for maximum cooling and so lightweight you will forget it’s on your head, the latest edition of the Lazer Genesis Helmet has got many riders purposely trashing their old helmets for an excuse to start wearing one of these right away. With the integration of the MIPS layer for an additional protection aspect against rotational impacts why wouldn't you want to wear a Lazer Genesis MIPS Helmet.

Featuring a super-light version of Lazer's Advanced Rollsys System and fitted with their Adjustable Head Basket for creating an easy-to-adjust, and always perfect, fit the Lazer Genesis is dreamily comfortable and ideal for those who've struggled to find a comfortable fitting helmet in the past. It's also Lazer-Aeroshell-compatible for increased aerodynamic protection and complete protection from the elements (covers sold separately).

With its fit system top-mounted for easy horizontal and vertical adjustment the Lazer Genesis MIPS Helmet is ponytail-friendly and comes with Race and Comfort padding sets included (lightweight and thicker pads) to help shave extra grams or increase comfort. The MIPS-version uses a traditional yellow slip-plane liner which weighs approx 25g and may reduce ventilation slightly.

Making helmets light but also safe is no small task. Currently there are three main standards for bicycle helmets; CE in Europe, CPSC for North America and the AS/NZS 2063:2008 standard for Australia and New Zealand. Australian Safety Standards are among the strictest in the world which means that when you're wearing this helmet with its AS/NZS 2063:2008 certification you can be assured of protection as good as it comes.

MIPS stands for Multi-Directional Impact Protection System, which is a leading slip-plane technology inside the helmet developed by brain surgeons and scientists to reduce rotational forces on the brain caused by angled impacts to the head. The MIPS system is designed to mimic what your dome and skull do in an impact, namely allow a little bit of movement in order to protect the more important component. In your dome's case, there's a fluid layer between the dome and the skull that acts as a buffer. Wearing a LAZER GENESIS MIPS HELMET is the best thing you can do to prevent a catastrophic brain injury while enjoying your favourite sport.
