Ultra lightweight starting at 682g for the RDC frame unpainted and raw with the distinctive wind eye seat-tube junction promoting both better aerodynamics and also vertical compliance. 5+2 geometry allows users the choice of 5 standard geometry along with 2 race specific geometry for riders that like a longer reach and lower stack.
The wind eye interface was tested with two framesets. One with a conventional seatstay interface and one with the wind eye and is found to be up to 3.66w worth of savings at 40km/h whilst increasing the vertical compliance by allowing for up to 23% more lateral flex.
The spear was tested along with the Tarmac SL8 in silverstone's wind tunnel with a controlled build of Zipp 404 wheelset/28c pirelli tubeless tyre and a Dura-ace di2 groupset.
The new Rapier integrated handlebar comes in a variety of different measurements facilitating for the correct modern fit for cyclists. Claimed weight is 310g which is 20g lighter than Exceed's integrated handlebar.
