THE PURPOSE
Introducing the 44 UD Carbon Spoke Disc, utilising our proven TaperLock carbon spoke technology, resulting in fully serviceable carbon-spoked wheels that can be trued like any other. With significant increases in lateral stiffness (see testing info below), they have been engineered to provide a stiffness-to-weight ratio previously unseen on serviceable wheels.
HUNT TaperLock UD Carbon Spoke
6% more laterally responsive than identical steel spoked wheel, with significantly less weight. Further benefiting from the high-frequency vibration absorption capabilities of carbon fibre in the UD spokes, as well as the rim. Please see graph in the "read more" section.
Aerodynamicist 29mm-wide rim, exclusively engineered and wind tunnel tested by HUNT's in-house engineering team, featuring a hooked & ETRTO-compliant tubeless-ready rim, designed for full clincher & tubeless tire compatibility.
SLC HUBS
All-new Sprint SLC hubs add strength and enhance power transfer, meaning more of your power pushing you forwards. The hub shell is a cold-forged 7000 series alloy, offering a greater strength-to-weight ratio than extruded 6000 series alloys. Large 15mm diameter hub axles for sprinting and out-of-saddle climbing responsiveness. Circular dropout interface steps ensure a secure fitment.

Rims | Aerodynamicist disc-specific rim profiles, designed from the ground up. Toray T700/T800 carbon-fibre with a stronger ratio of T800 (T40) fibres to achieve greater strength-to-weight ratio. Unidirectional sidewalls with 3K weave bed and spoke areas. Tubeless-ready for lower weight, rolling resistance and better puncture protection.
Tires | 20mm rim bed optimised for superior aerodynamic performance with a 25-28c tubeless tire, but also very capable with a 23c. Tubeless-Ready.
Hubs | New Sprint SLC straight-pull hubs, designed for carbon spokes. 15mm diameter 7075-T6 body and axle for supreme strength-to-weight. Circular dropout interface steps for added security in fitment. 3x treble-tooth pawls, resulting in rapid 7.5˚ engagement. Steel spline inserts to protect the cassette body.
