The All Road's stiff down tube and bottom bracket junction makes quick work of each pedal stroke. The tall chain stay profiles keep the rear end tracking straight while resisting pedal-induced twisting during sprints. The All Road’s tapered steer tube keeps the steering precise and reduces the amount of down tube twisting when out of the saddle. Maintaining the performance attributes found in every Bianchi endurance race model was only the first step toward creating the ultimate all-road bike.
For all-day rider comfort, we borrowed the Bianchi Active Technology (BAT) utilized in our best-selling Impulso. From iconic gran fondos to the brutally rough, cobblestone roads of the spring classics, the BAT rear triangle design has demonstrated its ability to redirect high-frequency vibrations while maintaining a stiff drive line. BAT keeps the rider in control and comfortable over a variety of surfaces. The All Road's chain stays have been stretched beyond that of its Impulso sibling to accommodate a 38mm rear tire. The full-carbon fork accommodates up to a 40mm tire. The bottom bracket drop has been lowered from that of its Zurigo cyclocross cousin (68mm). Lower and longer equates to faster and more stable over rough terrain.
Traction and pinch flat protection are paramount for all-terrain riding. The All Road features our Reparto Corse tubeless-ready wheel laced to sealed bearing hubs of Shimano SLX-level weight specifications. A reliable drive train package from Shimano anchors the All Road with compact gearing and a wide-range cassette to make quick work of the flattest or steepest roads encountered. Bosses have been added to accommodate front and rear fenders, as well as a rear rack. The flare of the compact bend handlebar lets the rider mount a wide handlebar bag or up to a 20-inch stuff sack under the bar. With the addition of a frame pack and oversize seat bag, there is virtually no limit to the gear to the All Road can carry.
