Baum Orbis X Ti Gravel Disc Frame Fuselage
loading..
When the most tarmac you want to ride is out of the car park, the Orbis X is for you. Built around a gravel groupset with less than 1:1 gearing, 45mm measured tyre clearances – and even the option for a dropper post – there are no mudguards or white bar tape . You are going to get dirty on this gravel specialist machine.
Tubeless, knobbled tyre setup is a must with a setup engineered for tackling everything from smooth gravel roads to rutted 4WD tracks. Even the less technical single track is not off-limits. This bike was created as the ultimate off-the-beaten-track machine. A tranquility enabler of such magnitude it should be up for a Nobel Peace Prize.
Fit some racks for flash packing adventures or just a big day out on roads where there are more kangaroos than cars, the only limit with the Orbis X is how far you want to take it. With the core of the X still retaining all of the refinement and engineering of the Orbis, a “gravel grinder” has never looked this good.
3D PRINTED YOKE - Wide rims, wider tyres. All caked in mud. You’re going to need something more than a standard bottom bracket yoke to provide all that real estate while still housing a T47 BB shell. Precision 3D printing making it all possible.
TYRE CLEARANCE - Sure nearly all gravel rear derailleurs come with a clutch…only what if you could form the drive-side stay to be asymmetric and dropped to allow even more space. And less chance of jingle bells as you navigate the corrugations. We did precisely that.
SUICIDE MOUNTS - When once around the block is not enough and that need to go a little longer is overwhelming you’re going to need water. Orbis X comes fitted with suicide cage bolts. We’re here as enablers for whatever crazy adventures you might have planned with this machine.
Paint Schemes
RS: The RS takes a classic, timeless look to a new level. Developed with our new Baum logo in mind and showcasing our 25th-anniversary seat tube graphic, it’s the finishing touches and symmetry of the design that gives the RS schemes a racy modern edge. Choice of RS, RS2, RS3 variations.
GT: The GT line of schemes has been a staple in the Baum lineup for over 10 years now and has seen variations come and go. They may look the same, but our latest versions have been refined to give them a fresh new look featuring our new Baum logo. Choice of GT, GT2, GT3, GT4, GTA, GTB, or Baum Racing variations.
